The 2024 Energy Taiwan will be held at TaiNEX 2 on October 2. Due to the explosion of 3C products such as pagers in Lebanon last week, concerns from all walks of life about the national security risks of lithium battery products; energy storage industries are worried that malicious elements may imitate terrorist attack techniques and remotely control energy storage systems, thereby endangering the stability of the power system. This also highlights that network information security has become an important national security issue.

In order to prevent similar threats, the government may expand the scope of control in the future to include various lithium battery application systems in the regulations, covering 3C products, electric vehicles and energy storage systems. These products may be prohibited from using mainland China-branded, manufactured or OEM components to fully ensure the safety and reliability of the energy and communication environment. To this end, Truewin Technology, which assists the world's leading semiconductor wafer manufacturers in building uninterruptible power systems, recommends starting from the fundamentals, including core components such as energy management systems (EMS), battery management systems (BMS), and power conversion systems (PCS). Also its software and hardware architecture should all be manufactured locally (MIT). In particular, power management ICs and MCUs at all levels of BMS must avoid using components made in mainland China to ensure comprehensive information security protection.

Truewin Technology is also the only Taiwanese energy equipment manufacturer to introduce AI applications among the exhibitors of Energy Taiwan. It opened a BMS production factory in Hsinchu in 2023 to strengthen the capabilities of domestic battery management systems. The 5MWh large energy storage container on display adopts multiple safety measures: the battery core is added with patented STOBA high-security lithium battery technology materials, and is paired with Taiwan's localized "Foresight" ultra-high porosity separator to achieve comprehensive and high safety.

In fact, Truewin Technology has been focusing on independently developing a smart battery management system (BMS) in Taiwan for a long time. It not only can the battery status be monitored and controlled at any time to extend life and ensure optimal performance, but also adopts military-grade anti-interference protection for the complex communication environment of semiconductor factories. The system complies with IEC 61000-6-2/-4 electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards and has obtained relevant safety certifications.

In addition, Truewin Technology actively uses advanced technology to improve maintenance operations and process efficiency. Digital transformation is introduced from the first moment to the entire product cycle. Combined with the AI agent programming-free platform of "ADAT Technology", it provides factory-wide AI agent APPs in all languages quickly deployment; this exhibition also focuses on five major themes: "IDC Green Computer Room Application", "Industrial and Commercial Integrated Behind-the-Meter Application", "Grid-Level Energy Storage STOBA Series", "BMS Intelligent System Integration" and "Behind-the-meter Emergency Backup Technology" ”, showing for the first time three energy storage solutions specially designed for AI data centers.
