Truewin Technology gained the footing in the semiconductor emergency backup battery market with product safety as the top priority

2024-09-02

SEMICON Taiwan 2024 will make its grand opening at the TaiNEX 1&2, Taipei on the 4th. Truewin Technology, a leader in emergency backup battery systems in the semiconductor industry, will set up a "Safety and Environmental Control IDC Green Computer Room Application" area at the exhibition this time. Demonstrating a new AI data center backup solution, echoing the theme of "Breaking Limits: Empowering the AI Era. Empowering AI Without Limits". Sharing "Safety and AI-BMS of Lithium Battery Systems for Backup Power Supply in Semiconductor Manufacturings and Data Centers", Truewin Technology uses the same level of test conditions as electric vehicles, such as acupuncture, high temperature, short circuit, overcharging, etc., to reach battery failure explosion and non-fire standards, and uses AI technology to improve battery management efficiency.

▲Truewin Technology brings a dedicated 512V LFP battery backup cabinet for the AI data center with an export time of 5 to 10 minutes. It is expected to be smaller than the lead-acid battery backup cabinet, achieving excellent space utilization efficiency.

Truewin Technology has a place in the semiconductor manufacturing and can credit it with the product safety of equipment. In order to pursue higher product safety specifications, it cooperates with Taiwan's well-known IC manufacturer to conduct system-level large-scale thermal radiation tests, thereby improving fire safety. The assessment project is expected to become the first in the industry to pass the 15 major safety assessments required by reinsurance companies. Truewin Technology continues to optimize the LFP battery system and complies with the latest NFPA855 safety requirements. We not only adds gas detection sensors in grade cabinets to respond immediately when disasters occur, but also improves the exhaust fans in the battery cabinets. Strengthen explosion-proof design.

▲The 5MW large storage cabinet exhibited by Truewin Technology adopts a full cabinet fire protection design that meets international standards.

The overall fireproof design of Truewin Technology's energy storage containers complies with international standards. It adopts a fully penetrating fire-extinguishing method to ensure that when a battery fire occurs, the fire-extinguishing gas can quickly fill the entire area and penetrate the fire point, improving the reliability of the battery. It is also equipped with combustible gas detector and duct smoke detector. The patented STOBA high-safety material is added to the core to improve the power of the battery at high temperatures and suppress chain reactions caused by external impacts or short circuits, achieving comprehensive fire prevention awareness.

In order to expand competition, Truewin Technology continues to cooperate with multiple parties to provide customers with diverse solutions. In recent years, we have cooperated with a well-known Japanese battery material manufacturer (KANEKA) to apply Truewin's independently developed battery management system (BMS) to 13C LTO batteries, which have long life, high charge and discharge rates, and good performance under working conditions to monitor SOC and SOH. Truewin also cooperates with PEWC and Sumitomo Electric to use a self-developed battery management system (BMS) with a vanadium redox battery with a lifespan of 20 years to quickly respond to grid needs and provide power immediately support.

▲ Truewin Technology will grandly exhibit 5 major themes at SEMICON Taiwan 2024 from 9/4 to 9/6

Truewin Technology will be at booth Q5430 in the smart energy management area on the first floor of TaiNEX 2 from 9/4 to 9/6, sharing "BMS smart integration system", "safety and environmental control IDC green computer room application", and "grid-level energy storage application with STOBA  Aurora Series ", "enhanced emergency backup technology behind the meter", and "Integrated industrial and commercial applications behind the meter". We welcome different sectors to exchange ideas!
